CIC Internal Scholarship Program

Commencing October 2008 CIC will offer two full scholarships per trimester to continuing students according to the following criteria:

Scholarship 1 (Certificate IV/UPP)
One scholarship will be granted to the best performing student in the Certificate IV or UPP program. The best performing student is defined as the student with the highest aggregate mark from 4 subjects in a given trimester. The recipient of this scholarship will receive full tuition for their next trimester/semester completely free of charge whether that trimester/semester be a Certificate IV or Diploma course. The recipient must be a full time student.

Scholarship 2 (Diploma)
Scholarship 2 will be granted to the student with the highest average in the first semester/trimester of any CIC Diploma course. Only students who are studying a full time course (100 credits) will be eligible for this scholarship. The recipient of this scholarship will receive full tuition for their next trimester/semester completely free of charge.

Eligibility
Both scholarships are open to international and local full time students in both Category I and Category 2 courses. A student who has won a Certificate IV/UPP scholarship is nonetheless eligible for a further Certificate IV/UPP scholarship or a Diploma Scholarship up to a total maximum of two trimesters/semesters.

Please note: If a successful scholarship holder chooses to study less than a full time load in the trimester/semester to which their scholarship applies fee credit will not apply to the subsequent trimester/semester.

Family Bursary

Navitas also offers financial support in the form of family bursaries. A family bursary applies where two or more students from the same family study with a Navitas institution.

The first family member can be studying with a Navitas institution at the same time as other family members or may have previously studied with any Navitas institution. For the purpose of this bursary, a family member is defined as a brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter or stepchildren.

The family bursary is granted to the second and subsequent family members who study at a Navitas institution. The bursary is equivalent to 10 per cent of the tuition fee for one program only (ie. Certificate IV, Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor degree of Master degree with a Navitas institution) and is credited to the eligible students tuition fee account each semester (the amount being relevant to the number of units undertaken in that semester). The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken.

Please note: Navitas family bursary is not applicable to English language programs or any component of an English language program offered by Navitas members. Please contact the relevant Navitas institutions for more information. The Navitas family bursary applies to students studying at ACN, CIC, Curtin Sydney, EI, FIC, HIBT, LIBT, MQC, MIBT, PIBT, QIBT, SAIBT and SIBT only.
