Entry Requirements

International Students

In order to gain entry to CIC courses international students must meet certain academic and English entry requirements.

Entry into some programs requires successful completion of pre-requisite subjects at high school level. Information on course-specific entry requirements is available in the Courses Search Engine.

Curtin English Language Centre (CELC)

Students who require English tuition prior to commencing at CIC will automatically receive a packaged offer which will include a period of English tuition at CELC. CELC conducts English language programs on the main Bentley campus of Curtin University of Technology.

Domestic Students (Australian citizens and permanent residents)
Candidates applying for admission to the Diploma must have successfully completed TEE subjects and/or other post-secondary qualifications including TAFE and other accredited providers. As a general guide, a minimum TER of 70 is required for the Engineering, Health and Physical Sciences Diplomas. All other courses will require a minimum TER of 60. Entry may also depend on meeting pre-requisites.

Certificate IV and Diploma courses are available for students who do not meet minimum entry requirements. Domestic students undertaking a Diploma are eligible for FEE-HELP.
